Drupal Developer (Consultant)

General Background

The United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials (UNAKRT) provides technical assistance to the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), which is a domestic judicial institution established in accordance with Cambodian law. The ECCC has jurisdiction to bring to trial senior leaders of Democratic Kampuchea and those who were most responsible for the crimes and serious violations of Cambodian penal law, international humanitarian law and custom that were committed during the period from 17 April 1975 to 6 January 1979.

UNAKRT requires the services of a suitably qualified Drupal Developer to upgrade functionality on the ECCC website.

Duties and responsibilities

Working closely with Web Developer and under the overall supervision of the Chief of ICT, the consultant will be responsible for the following duties:

• Implement QR code functionality/generation on current website;
• Fix underlying bugs to enable QR code functionality to be installed; and
• Perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Drupal programming/development is required. Knowledge and experience with the following is an advantage:

• Knowledge of theming/front-end development
• Knowledge of Twig, HTML5/XHTML, and CSS
• Experience developing web solutions in Drupal (Drupal 8/9+)
• Proficiency in key contributed modules and core API
• Experience with Drupal's key modules, i.e. CTools, Views, Rules, etc
• Experience integrating open source and third-party applications into existing systems
• Familiarity with LINUX (Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS etc) operating systems

Language: The official languages of the ECCC are Khmer, English and French. For this consultancy, fluency in English is required. Knowledge Khmer is an advantage.
